2. Friedrich "Frederick" NEMITZ Sr. was born on 23 May 1836 in Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia).^1,2,3,4 (His gravestone lists his birth year as 1835; that is believed to be incorrect.) He emigrated in 1884 from Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia).¹

. He appeared in the census in 1900 in Knapp Township, Jackson County, WI.¹ His household consisted of Fred and his wife and two of their children, Fred and Anna. His occupation was "Farmer."

. Frederick appeared in the census in 1910 in Knapp Township, Jackson County, WI.^2,5 He was a widower and was living with his son Fritz and his family and his occupation was "Own Income." "Fred A. Nemitz (his son) kicked his father out because he caught the barn on fire, and so he went to live with Bertha (his daughter)."

. He appeared in the census in June 1920 in Knapp Township, Jackson County, WI.⁶ He was living with his daughter Bertha and her family.

. He died of a cerebral hemorrhage on 23 October 1920 at the age of 84 in Knapp Township, Jackson County, WI.^3,4 His death certificate was certified by Gus Goetzka, a son-in-law. (His gravestone lists his death year as 1919; that is incorrect.) Frederick was buried on 25 October 1920 in Knapp Township, Jackson County, WI.³

Friedrich "Frederick" NEMITZ Sr. and Fredericka "Freda" BUNDE were married about 1856 in Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia).^1,7 (According to the 1900 Census, they had 9 children, of whom 6 were living at the time.)

Fredericka "Freda" BUNDE, daughter of Danial BUNDE and Anna Lowiese HAGEN, was born on 28 February 1836 in Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia).^1,8,9 She emigrated in 1884 from Posen Province, Preussen (Prussia).⁷ She appeared in the census in 1900 in Knapp Township, Jackson County, WI.¹ Freda died of pneumonia, with a contributory factor of heart disease on 28 April 1908 at the age of 72 in Knapp Township, Jackson County, WI.⁹ She was buried on 30 April 1908 in Knapp Township, Jackson County, WI.⁹ in the Lutheran Church Cemetery.
