1. Ezekiel GRIFFIN was born about 1790 in Rhode Island.^1,2 (His original surname may have been "Griffis" or "Griffith.") He appeared in the census in 1850 in Monroe Township, Green County, WI.³ His occupation was "Farmer." He appeared in the census in 1855 in Angelo Township, Monroe County, WI.¹ Ezekiel died on 30 June 1864 at the age of 74 in Sparta, Sparta Township, Monroe County, WI.^1,4

Ezekiel GRIFFIN and Hannah Elizabeth HEWITT were married about 1820 in Oswego County, NY.^4,5,6 Hannah Elizabeth HEWITT, daughter of Daniel HEWITT and Sarah TYLER, was born in 1792 in Connecticut.^1,2,4 She appeared in the census in 1850 in Monroe Township, Green County, WI.³ She died about 1862 at the age of 70 in Monroe County, WI.^1,4
